The Freedom Front Assumes Responsibility for Missile Strike on Kabul Military Airfield

RASC News Agency: The Freedom Front has issued a statement claiming responsibility for the recent missile attack on Kabul’s military airfield. On Sunday, October 20, the airfield came under missile fire, with sources confirming that at least three missiles struck the area. The Freedom Front, in their statement, claimed to have launched multiple missiles, inflicting heavy casualties on Taliban forces stationed at the site.

According to the group, the attack commenced with missile strikes, followed by an assault on Taliban positions by their fighters. The engagement lasted approximately 10 minutes and took place while the Taliban were reportedly engaged in repairing military aircraft at the airfield. Thus far, the Taliban have remained silent regarding the incident, consistent with their approach over the past year of not commenting on similar events. The Freedom Front has emerged as one of the most formidable militant groups opposing Taliban rule since the group’s rise to power. Over the past three years, it has carried out hundreds of operations targeting Taliban forces and military intelligence installations.

This latest attack on one of the Taliban’s most crucial military bases once again calls into question the regime’s claims of maintaining security. The Freedom Front asserts that without the backing of international powers, including the U.S., Russia, China, Iran, and various regional intelligence networks, the Taliban would not be able to sustain their control over Afghanistan for even a month.
