370 Afghanistani Families Expelled from Iran and Pakistan in a Single Day

RASC News Agency: The Taliban-controlled Bakhtar News Agency has reported that 373 Afghanistani migrant families were expelled, either “forcibly or voluntarily,” from Iran and Pakistan on Friday, September 27. These migrants reportedly returned to Afghanistan through border crossings in the provinces of Nangarhar, Kandahar, Nimroz, and Herat.

The report indicates that 27 families returned via the Torkham crossing, while 20 families re-entered through Spin Boldak. Additionally, 90 families crossed at Pul-e-Abrisham, and 236 families returned through the Islam Qala border.

This development occurs amid widespread grievances among Afghanistani migrants in both Iran and Pakistan over the escalating challenges they face. Migrants in Iran have informed Amu News that the government has even prohibited their children from enrolling in schools. Furthermore, the prosecutor in Kerman has instructed local bakeries not to sell bread to undocumented individuals.

Since the Taliban’s seizure of power in Afghanistan, millions of its citizens have fled the country, escaping oppression, injustice, extrajudicial killings, ethnic persecution, and religious extremism. However, it has become evident that these migrants are now being forcibly expelled by neighboring countries, particularly Iran and Pakistan.
