RASC News Agency: Local sources from Logar province have reported the suicides of a woman and a young girl in the region. Officials from the Logar Police Command have confirmed the incident, stating that both individuals ended their lives. According to authorities, the tragic event occurred late on the night of September 24 in the Khalifa Sahib area of Pul-e-Alam, the capital of Logar.

Ahmadullah Ans, spokesperson for the Logar Police Command, revealed that the woman and girl ingested toxic substances due to familial challenges, which led to their heartbreaking decision. The spokesperson further noted that the case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department of the police. This incident follows a recent case in Badakhshan, where a woman also consumed poison and ended her life, attributed to family issues. Prior to that, a woman in Nangarhar committed suicide due to internal family disputes, and a girl in Helmand took poison, resulting in her death.

Since the Taliban regained control over Afghanistan, reports of suicides and sudden, unexplained deaths have escalated. Poverty and unemployment are identified as primary factors contributing to these tragedies, along with familial conflicts rooted in economic hardship. Under Taliban rule, poverty and unemployment have surged within society, leaving citizens in dire conditions. Many individuals have sought refuge in nearby or distant countries, desperately trying to secure a means of sustenance for their families.
