RASC News Agency: Local sources in the provinces of Helmand and Uruzgan report the deaths of a woman and a man in separate incidents. Meanwhile, the body of a man has been found in a river in Nangarhar province. The public often blames the Taliban for these killings, attributing the rising violence to their actions. In Helmand, a widow in Kajaki district was killed by her brother-in-law after seeking her late husband’s rights. The woman, named Zarghona, was killed early this morning Wednesday, September 4, in the “Larkan” area of Kajaki district. Sources say Zarghona’s husband passed away a year ago, leaving her to care for their three children alone.

Taliban officials in Helmand have yet to comment on this murder. In a separate incident, Taliban police in Uruzgan reported that a man killed his brother over a land dispute in Dehrawud district. Bialal Arzghani, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s police command in Uruzgan, stated that the confrontation occurred late yesterday Tuesday, September 3, in the “Maindow” area of Dehrawud. According to him, the suspect fled but was apprehended today. Land disputes have previously led to numerous fatalities; recently, two individuals from Badakhshan lost their lives in a similar conflict.

Simultaneously, in Lalpur district of Nangarhar in the east, local sources reported discovering the body of an elderly man in a river. A resident of Lalpur stated that the body was found last night Tuesday, September 3, in the Chaknor area of Lalpur district, though the circumstances of his death remain unclear. The man, identified as Rahimullah, was originally from the Goshta district. Signs of torture were visible on Rahimullah’s body, according to the resident. In the past, bodies have been found under mysterious circumstances, with no clear explanation for the deaths. The Taliban have been accused of carrying out similar killings in Panjshir over the past three years, where dozens of people were allegedly killed under suspicious circumstances.

An unnamed security source mentioned that Rahimullah’s body was handed over to his family after being transported to a hospital. This discovery follows reports of daily murders and mysterious deaths. Yesterday, it was reported that an unknown assailant killed a teacher in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh. The teacher, identified as Abdul Ahad, was teaching at the public high school “Ahmad Shah Massoud.” A source stated that Abdul Ahad was shot and killed by motorcycle-riding assailants in the Dasht-e-Shor area of the city’s eighth security district while on his way home from school.
