RASC News Agency: Local sources in Takhar province report a continued surge in criminal activities, particularly targeted and mysterious murders, across various regions. Recently, a 40-year-old man was found murdered in this province. According to these sources, the incident took place on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 13, along the Rostaq-Dasht-e-Qala highway in Takhar.

The victim, identified as Hujjatullah, was discovered by local residents with his hands bound behind his back with a rope. Sources confirm that Hujjatullah was shot to death. His body has since been transferred to the hospital in the Dasht-e-Qala district of Takhar province. The motive behind this murder remains unclear, and local Taliban officials have yet to comment on the incident.

This killing comes amid a growing wave of criminal activities, including armed robberies, targeted killings, and kidnappings, which have heightened concerns among citizens in recent weeks. In a recent incident, unidentified gunmen shot and killed a woman in the village of Chetras, within the jurisdiction of Parun, the capital of Nuristan province.

These reports emerge even as the Taliban continues to claim that nationwide security is being maintained and that the lives and property of citizens are secure.
