Resistance Front Claims Killing of Taliban Commander in Kabul

RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan reports that its forces recently targeted a Taliban vehicle in the capital as part of their ongoing operations. According to a statement issued by the front on Tuesday, July 30, the attack occurred the previous night in the Qala-e-Ghaibi area of the Chehl Stoon within Kabul’s 7th security zone.

The National Resistance Front claims that the assault resulted in the death of Qari Alam Jan, the Taliban’s commander for the 7th district, and that three other Taliban members were injured. The front further asserts that its forces sustained no casualties during the operation, and local Taliban officials have yet to respond to these claims.

This incident comes amidst a recent escalation of attacks by various anti-Taliban factions, including the National Resistance Front, against Taliban members across several provinces. In the latest development, the front announced that it had conducted an attack on Taliban members in Herat province the day before, resulting in additional casualties among the group.

It is notable that opposition fronts have intensified their assaults against the Taliban, which has faced increasing criticism for discriminatory practices against civilians during its three-year rule.
