RASC News Agency: On Sunday evening, July 14, the National Resistance Front and the Freedom Front of Afghanistan targeted two Taliban checkpoints in “Hadde Ghazni” and “Tappe Karte Naw” in Kabul. According to a statement from the National Resistance Front, their operatives attacked a mobile patrol of Taliban intelligence members in the fifth security district of Kabul and the Hadda Ghazni area, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
Meanwhile, the Freedom Front of Afghanistan announced in a separate statement that their forces targeted a checkpoint manned by Taliban Ministry of Interior personnel, killing two and injuring another. These events come amid an escalation in attacks by the National Resistance Front and the Freedom Front, focusing primarily on major urban centers. Over the past three years, these fronts have conducted numerous guerrilla attacks against Taliban forces, resulting in significant casualties. The Resistance Front has also engaged in direct combat with the Taliban.
Leaders of both fronts have consistently advocated for resolving Afghanistan’s issues through dialogue, but the Taliban’s refusal to negotiate has pushed them toward military action. The two fronts continue to bravely fight against the Taliban. Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, has repeatedly emphasized the importance of dialogue to resolve Afghanistan’s problems. However, with the Taliban unwilling to engage in talks, the front has turned to military and guerrilla warfare.
To date, the National Resistance Front has eliminated dozens of Taliban members in various regions, notably in Panjshir, Kabul, and Baghlan. The Freedom Front has similarly engaged in military confrontations with the Taliban.
