RASC News Agency: Dr. Sreekumar Mukundan, a seasoned gynecologist from Kerala, has embarked on a humanitarian mission with Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontiers, MSF) in Afghanistan. This mission is dedicated to addressing the critical healthcare needs of Afghanistani women amid the ongoing challenges in the region.

Dr. Mukundan, who possesses extensive experience in maternal and child health, will be working in some of Afghanistan’s most underserved areas, providing essential medical care to women and children. His involvement underscores the global commitment to supporting Afghanistani women, who face significant barriers to healthcare access.

In an interview, Dr. Mukundan expressed his dedication to the cause, stating, “The situation in Afghanistan is dire, and the need for qualified medical professionals is immense. I am honored to contribute my skills to help improve the health and well-being of Afghanistani women and their families.”

Doctors Without Borders has been operating in Afghanistan for years, delivering critical medical services despite the challenging and often dangerous conditions. Dr. Mukundan’s participation in this mission highlights the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide lifesaving care and support to those most in need.

This initiative is part of a broader international response to the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, with various organizations and professionals stepping forward to offer their expertise and assistance. The mission also reflects the spirit of solidarity and compassion that transcends borders, bringing hope and healing to vulnerable populations worldwide.
