RASC News Agency: The Taliban’s Supreme Court has reported the public flogging of six individuals in the provinces of Kandahar and Ghazni. On Thursday, July 4th, the court announced that five individuals in Kandahar, accused of sodomy, received 30 lashes and one month of imprisonment each in Maiwand District.

In Ghazni’s Andar District, one person was sentenced to 39 lashes and 18 months in prison for theft, with the punishment carried out in public. The Taliban have intensified public corporal punishments, drawing widespread condemnation from human rights organizations that view these actions as gross violations of human dignity.

Additionally, the Taliban have forbidden spectators from filming these events and often force attendance at gunpoint. The resurgence of such punishments in various provinces has been met with severe criticism, emphasizing the need for respect for human rights and the protection of personal dignity.
