RASC News Agency: Local sources from Khost province report that a Taliban commander is attempting to seize a civilian’s house and land through coercion. On Saturday, June 8, sources informed the media that the Taliban commander, Qari Mustafa, along with his men, stormed a house in the Gol Dar area of Spera District, looting some of the owner’s possessions.

According to sources, Qari Mustafa claims ownership of the house and the surrounding land. He reportedly attacked the house again this morning, warning the owner to vacate the property. Sources add that following the attack by Qari Mustafa and his men, other villagers gathered in support of the homeowner outside his house.

Meanwhile, the resident of Spera District, whose house was stormed, stated that his property has legal deeds and documents. The Taliban in Khost province have not commented on the incident. It should be noted that over the past three years, the Taliban have repeatedly harassed and intimidated people through various actions.

Reports indicate that the Taliban recently demolished the house of a tribal elder in the province’s capital, and they remain unaccountable for such actions.
