Taliban Sign Power Supply Agreement with Chinese Company: Ineffective Decisions and Adverse Consequences

RASC News Agency: In a move reflecting the Taliban’s economic strategies, a power purchase agreement has been signed with a reputable Chinese company. This contract, valued at $2.7 million, aims to provide the electricity needed for the people of Afghanistan.

However, this decision clearly overlooks the real needs and the importance of transparency in resource management. Under this agreement, the cost of electricity for the people is likely to increase significantly, leading to serious economic pressures on households.

These ineffective decisions could erode public trust in the Taliban’s governance, which they are striving to establish. Rising dissatisfaction and public protests against these misguided decisions could result in unrest and instability within the community.

In summary, the signing of this agreement with the Chinese company by the Taliban disregards the real needs and the importance of transparency in economic actions, potentially leading to adverse consequences for the people and the economy of Afghanistan.
