RASC News Agency: The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has announced that the extent of suffering experienced by flood victims in various Afghan provinces is indescribable. In a report released on Wednesday night, May 15th, the IFRC detailed the devastating impact of recent floods, noting that in Baghlan province alone, approximately 200 lives have been lost.

The International Committee of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Societies reported that, beyond the tragic loss of life, the floods have also destroyed thousands of homes and killed countless livestock. According to statistics provided by the organization, the recent floods and torrential rains have affected residents in 25 provinces across the country.

The IFRC emphasized the catastrophic nature of these floods, stating that their current efforts are focused on addressing the urgent needs of the victims. Previously, Save the Children issued a statement expressing concern about the impact of the floods on children in Baghlan province, revealing that the recent flooding has destroyed the homes of at least 40,000 children.
