Residents of Argo: Outsiders Should Leave Our Land, They Do Not Understand Our Language

RASC News Agency: Protesters in Argo district have issued a statement calling for the removal of outsiders from their region, arguing that those who do not understand their language have no business being in their district.

On Sunday, May 5, on the third day of their protests against the Taliban, residents of Argo district issued a statement declaring that the Taliban from other provinces do not understand the local language, cannot effectively communicate with the people, and must leave Badakhshan.

The protesters assert that on Friday, because the Taliban do not know Persian and speak only Pashto, they entered people’s homes without permission, violating their privacy. Reports indicate that public protests against the Taliban in Badakhshan province began on Friday, May 3, after the killing of a young man by the group’s fighters.

During these protests, one person was killed due to gunfire from the Taliban fighters, and at least 10 other civilians were wounded.
