RASC News Agency: The Association for Diplomat Cohesion of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan announced that all political, civil, and military factions must unite against the Taliban and form a unified front. According to a statement released on Saturday, April 27, by the Association for Diplomat Cohesion of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in response to a recent report from the U.S. Department of State, the report reveals just a fraction of the dire situation under Taliban rule.
The association’s statement explained that the Taliban’s control has resulted in a complete violation of fundamental rights and human dignity for Afghanistani citizens, causing the country to face a widespread social, economic, political, and security crisis. According to the statement: “There is no doubt that the continuation of the Taliban’s oppressive practices and systematic discrimination not only damages the social fabric and shared values of the people, deepening the political and security crisis in the country every day, but also extends this crisis to the region and the world.”
The association urged the international community, especially influential countries and international organizations, not to allow Afghanistani citizens to become further victims of the short-term political and economic interests of certain countries. In its latest report, the U.S. Department of State highlighted the extensive human rights violations and the suppression of civil and media freedoms in Afghanistan under Taliban rule.
The U.S. Department of State stated in its report that the Taliban are accused of widespread corruption, as well as ethnic, gender, and religious discrimination, and continue to violate human rights on a large scale.
