RASC News Agency: Local sources report that three individuals, including a general from the previous government, were arrested in Kabul by the Taliban on charges of “membership in the Green Trend party.” Sources informed the media that Isa Khan, a retired general from the previous government, and his son Najibullah were taken from their home in Khair Khana, Kabul, on Saturday, April 20, by the Taliban’s intelligence services.
According to the sources, General Isa Khan had previously worked for the National Directorate of Security in the former government but retired several years ago. Additionally, Khwaja Mir Mujahid, the head of the Kabul Powerlifting Federation, was arrested around 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 20, from his home in the 500 Family area of Khair Khana by the Taliban.
Sources noted that the Taliban intelligence forces entered Mujahid’s home, forcibly arrested him, and took him away. All the individuals detained by the Taliban are originally from Panjshir province and were residing in Kabul.
Although the Taliban have not issued an official statement on the matter, Abdul Hamid Khorasani, one of the commanders of the group’s “Badri Unit,” previously claimed on social media that 35 members of the “Green Trend party” had been detained.
However, sources have clarified that those arrested by the Taliban are not affiliated with any political party or movement. Instead, the Taliban targeted them due to their association with the same village as Amrullah Saleh.
