RASC News Agency: The Khorasan branch of ISIS has claimed responsibility for the recent explosion in the Kote-Sangi area of the third security district in Kabul. According to a statement released by ISIS, the group claimed that on Saturday night, April 20th, they targeted a vehicle carrying Shiites with a magnetic bomb as it passed through a Taliban checkpoint.

The statement from ISIS mentioned that as a result of the explosion, 10 civilians and Taliban members were either killed or injured. Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for the Taliban police in Kabul, stated that the explosion was caused by an IED planted in a Mercedes passenger vehicle, killing the driver and injuring three others.

Urban vehicles have been targeted multiple times in the western part of Kabul city, with ISIS frequently claiming responsibility for such attacks. ISIS continues to carry out attacks in Afghanistan cities despite the Taliban’s repeated claims that they have suppressed ISIS in Afghanistan.

Numerous regional countries have previously expressed concern about the presence and activities of terrorist groups in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, but the Taliban have consistently dismissed these concerns as unfounded.
