RASC News Agency: Officials from the Taliban’s Natural Disaster Preparedness Directorate in Paktia province have announced that five members of a family lost their lives as a result of a mountain slide. Nisar Ahmad Nejat, the head of the Taliban’s Natural Disaster Preparedness Directorate in Paktia province, informed the media that the incident occurred last night, on Monday, Apr 15, in the Khosa Chengi area of the Wazi district.

Reports indicate that recent floods in Paktia province have destroyed nearly fifty homes. Over the past few days, heavy rainfall has affected several provinces across the country. The recent rains have resulted in the blockage of multiple transportation routes, loss of lives, injuries to numerous individuals, and the destruction of residential homes in various parts of the country.

Earlier, local Taliban authorities in Paktia province announced that the Paktia-Khost highway has been blocked due to a mountain slide in the area, with ongoing efforts to reopen it.
