RASC News Agency: Local sources from Kabul have reported that recently, amidst a series of mysterious and targeted killings, a young female student in the city has been found dead under mysterious circumstances. Sources informed the media on Tuesday, April 16th, that the victim, identified as Taherah, originally hailed from Daykundi province and was discovered murdered in her room.
According to these sources, Taherah was a fourth-year student in the Department of Communications and Journalism at Kabul University. Following the closure of the university gates to female students, she had immersed herself in studying English in Kabul in preparation for the international TOEFL exam. However, the Taliban group has asserted that Tahereh took her own life. Her body was subsequently transferred from her residence to the forensic medicine department, with investigations into her death currently underway.
Throughout their more than two years of governance, the Taliban have progressively tightened restrictions on the populace, particularly on women and girls, with the denial of education being among the most severe. The revelation of this female student’s murder comes amid a recent surge in mysterious and targeted killings across various provinces of the country.
