RASC News Agency: Officials at the provincial hospital in Badakhshan have reported four suicide attempts recorded at the facility.

Dr. Shafiq Hamdard, the chief physician of Badakhshan Provincial Hospital, informed the media on Saturday, April 13th, that during the days of Eid al-Fitr, four girls attempted suicide by ingesting lethal substances commonly known as rat poison.

According to the official, Taliban personnel, upon their transfer to the hospital, received treatment and were saved. Hamdard added that these four girls intended to end their lives due to family violence and forced marriages.

Previously, reports of suicides among girls in various provinces, including Badakhshan, have emerged for various reasons.

In the most recent incident, an 18-year-old girl in the city of Fayzabad, the capital of Badakhshan province, committed suicide, ending her life.
