RASC News Agency: Quoting sources from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, unidentified armed individuals have attacked an Afghanistani journalist named Ahmad Hanayesh in this city. Hanayesh’s associates informed the media that the incident took place on Wednesday night, Apr 3, near the German Embassy in Islamabad.

According to their account, Hanayesh was hit by two bullets in the leg and head during the attack. Sources added that the assailants managed to flee the scene using a motorcycle. Hanayesh’s colleagues stated that his health condition is satisfactory. Ahmad Hanayesh is a reporter for Radio Azadi and the head of two private radios in the provinces of Parwan and Panjshir.

Pakistani authorities and Radio Azadi have not yet commented on the matter. Following the Taliban’s takeover, hundreds of journalists have sought refuge in neighboring countries, especially Pakistan and Iran, due to security threats from this group.

Journalists who have migrated to Pakistan are concerned about their safety and demand serious attention from supporting institutions regarding their situation.
