Seven Family Members Lose Lives Due to Mountain Landslide in Ghor Province

RASC News Agency: Local Taliban sources in Ghor province have informed the media that seven members of a family have lost their lives as a result of a mountain landslide and the fall of a large rock. Local sources confirmed to the media on Wednesday, Apr 3, that this incident occurred yesterday at 2:00 a.m. in the village of “Khuranj Wakil Niazi” in the Charasada district of Ghor.

Sources have also reported casualties among children and women in this incident. Charasada is among the mountainous districts of Afghanistan where such incidents occasionally occur.

It should be noted that a similar incident occurred last year in the village of Laka Mazar, Dowlatabad district, resulting in the loss of four lives.

Afghanistan is among the countries in the world with a predominantly mountainous geography, where occasional landslides and treacherous roads claim lives.
