RASC News Agency: Imran Malik, a retired Pakistani Army General, asserted in an article for the newspaper “Dawn News” of Pakistan that Afghanistan can rightfully be considered the epicenter of global terrorism. According to a report by Aamaj News published on Saturday, March 30th, General Malik emphasized that the majority of fundamental terrorist activities originate from Afghanistan.

He added that some of the most violent terrorist groups have managed to find safe havens in Afghanistan, thanks to the Taliban regime. The retired Pakistani military officer claimed that recently, ISIS Khorasan has also made significant advances. General Malik alleged that in recent times, heinous terrorist attacks by ISIS and other terrorist groups based in Afghanistan have been perpetrated in neighboring countries.

He stated that Pakistan must clarify its security perimeter at its western borders and take action to thwart all threats emanating from there or directed towards it. These remarks by the retired Pakistani Army general come as terrorist attacks in Pakistan have significantly increased with the Taliban’s control over Afghanistan.
