The Taliban Detains Hamayoon Afghan and Four Colleagues

RASC News Agency: Sources close to Hamayoon Afghan report that the Taliban recently detained this YouTuber and four of his colleagues in Kabul city.

 

Sources informed the media on Friday, Mar 29, that Mr. Afghan and his colleagues were detained yesterday afternoon from their office in the Karteh Char area of Kabul.

 

According to sources, the Taliban detained Mr. Afghan and his colleagues without providing any explanation and took them away. Official Taliban authorities have not commented on this incident yet.

 

Following their takeover of the country, the Taliban escalated restrictions on media operations and activities, detaining dozens of media activists.
