RASC News Agency: Abdullah Abdullah, former head of the National Reconciliation High Council, strongly condemned an explosion in Kandahar province. Before the evening meal on Thursday, Mar 21, an explosive attack occurred outside a Kabul Bank representative office in the first district of Kandahar city, the main stronghold of the Taliban group.

Local sources report more than 20 deaths and 30 injuries in this incident; however, local Taliban authorities confirmed three deaths and 12 injuries in the attack. It is worth noting that this incident occurred as Taliban members had gone to this office to collect their salaries.

This incident occurred while local authorities of this group, including Mullah Shirin and the governor of Kandahar province, had convened a security meeting. According to Taliban statements, ISIS has claimed responsibility for this incident.

It is worth mentioning that security incidents have increased in recent months, and the Taliban group had previously claimed that no security incidents had occurred in first-grade provinces in the past year.
