RASC News Agency: The residence of three ex-military individuals, Rahmat, Fazal, and Salam, who are siblings and shared the same grand dwelling, was deliberately set ablaze by unidentified armed individuals in Nuristan province. The incident occurred on the night of Friday, January 26th, in the Oktban area of Wama district, as per the information gathered from local sources.

According to the sources, the event unfolded when a group of unknown armed assailants forcefully entered the house belonging to the aforementioned trio and proceeded to ignite the premises after the occupants had managed to escape. It is worth mentioning that these former soldiers had been subjected to continuous harassment by both unidentified armed individuals and the Taliban group throughout the two-year period of Taliban rule in Afghanistan.

It is important to highlight that a significant portion of the country’s population strongly condemns the mistreatment of former soldiers by the Taliban group, asserting that the group seeks retribution against these individuals. However, the Taliban group vehemently denies these allegations, despite the consistent incidents of harassment faced by the ex-military personnel.
