RASC News Agency: Local sources from Laghman province have reported a traffic accident that took place on the Kabul-Jalal Abad highway. The incident occurred on Sunday, January 28th, in the Surobi district of Kabul. It involved a passenger car of the “Flankuch” type, which veered off the road and plunged into a nearby river. This accident resulted in the loss of 14 lives and left 10 individuals injured.

Among the victims of this traffic incident are women and children. It is concerning to witness such innocent lives being abruptly taken away due to the negligence and circumstances surrounding road accidents. Despite the occurrence of similar incidents in various provinces across the country, Taliban group officials have not yet provided any statement regarding this specific incident.

The causes of these traffic accidents can be attributed to several factors. Careless driving, coupled with the narrowness and poor condition of the roads, significantly contributes to the occurrence of such incidents. Additionally, the failure to adhere to traffic regulations and the challenges faced while navigating certain routes further exacerbate the situation. It is crucial for authorities to address these issues and implement measures that prioritize road safety to prevent further loss of life and injuries on the nation’s highways.
