RASC News Agency: The Permanent Mission of Denmark to the United Nations announced that a session had been held concerning the status of female journalists in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. During this session, which occurred on Tuesday, Mar 12, at the United Nations, some Afghanistani female journalists expressed concerns about the state of journalism in Afghanistan under Taliban control.

According to a message posted on social media by the Permanent Mission of Denmark to the United Nations, Afghanistani female journalists confront oppression daily and jeopardize their lives to produce media content. Participants in this session voiced the desire for the global community to support female journalists in Afghanistan under Taliban rule.

It is worth noting that following their takeover of the country, the Taliban have imposed increasingly stringent restrictions on journalists, particularly female journalists and media outlets. Reports indicate that these restrictions have led to some media outlets halting operations and a significant number of journalists abandoning their profession.
