RASC News Agency: Citing credible sources, a former military officer named Haseebullah Takhar has succumbed to electrocution in Iran. Sources relayed to the media on Monday, Mar 4, that this incident transpired last night in northern Iran. According to reports, Haseebullah migrated to Iran following the collapse of the republican system in Afghanistan and was employed in a building in northern Iran.

This development coincides with a trend where, in the aftermath of the Taliban’s assumption of power, a considerable number of ex-military personnel have sought refuge in neighboring countries, notably Iran and Pakistan, in response to threats posed by the group. Among the challenges confronted by these former military personnel residing in these nations are economic hardships, visa expirations, the looming risk of deportation, and the daunting prospect of returning to Afghanistan under Taliban governance.

It is noteworthy that notwithstanding the declaration of a general amnesty, the Taliban in specific provinces persist in detaining, incarcerating, subjecting to torture, and even executing former military personnel. Nevertheless, the Taliban often attribute a substantial portion of these fatalities to personal vendettas, asserting that ex-military personnel are detained and eliminated due to personal animosities.
