RASC News Agency: The Taliban Supreme Court has recently announced that an individual in Sar-e Pol province has been publicly flogged with 39 lashes. This announcement came on Sunday, Mar 3, indicating that the individual faced whipping charges of immorality in the presence of local Taliban officials, relatives, and a substantial number of attendees at the Sar-e Pol provincial court proceedings.
However, while the identity and gender of the accused individual remain unknown, the Taliban’s municipal court in Sar-e Pol province has sentenced them to six months of imprisonment for the same offense. This revelation coincides with the Taliban group’s two-year rule in Afghanistan, during which they have repeatedly subjected citizens to flogging and execution.
It is noteworthy that despite numerous calls from international authorities to cease this practice, the Taliban group has responded by asserting that retribution is an internal matter and does not concern anyone else.
