RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Taluqan, the capital of Takhar province, the Taliban’s Morality Police in the province have closed down a men’s barbershop for trimming a man’s beard. Sources informed the media that the Taliban’s Morality Police shut and sealed the gate of this barbershop located in the Golay Bagh area during Monday afternoon, Feb 26.

Reportedly, this barbershop, adjacent to the Sohrab Bathhouse and owned by an individual named Lal Mohammad, was closed off by the Taliban’s Morality Police when a man’s beard was trimmed by the barber. This development occurs as the Taliban group, since seizing control of the country, has imposed increasingly restrictive measures on citizens’ lives and warned all people not to trim their beards and to conform to the dictates of the group’s ideology.

It is noteworthy that the Taliban, in several provinces of the country, have also harassed and beaten youths for trimming their beards and wearing trousers in some instances.
