RASC News Agency: Reputable sources from Nahreen district in Baghlan province have reported that the communication commander of the Taliban’s security apparatus in this district was slain by his own bodyguard. Sources informed the media on Sunday, Feb 25, that the incident occurred yesterday in Nahreen district of Baghlan province.
According to sources, the bodyguard of this Taliban official is known as Qari Aziz, a Tajik resident of the village of Arehshakh in Nahreen district of this province. Sources add that the slain communication commander of the Taliban hails from Dandghori district in Baghlan province, and his bodyguard murdered him due to his biased and ethnocentric behavior.
The Taliban in Baghlan province have detained Qari Aziz, while prior to this, internal conflicts among Taliban members in several provinces have resulted in casualties. In the latest incident, as a result of an internal clash among Taliban members during the past week in Badakhshan province, several members of the group were severely wounded.
It is worth mentioning that since their takeover of the country, the Taliban have resorted to extremely violent behavior against non-Pashtun ethnic groups and have unleashed a wave of suppression against many of them from key positions.
