RASC News Agency: Quoting local sources from Faryab province, an 18-year-old girl in the vicinity of this province hanged herself, effectively ending her life. Sources from Faryab province informed the media on Sunday, February 11th, that the incident occurred the previous day in the village of “Diwanekhanah” in the Almar district of this province.

Meanwhile, the occurrence of this event has been confirmed by Esmatullah Moradi, the spokesperson for the Taliban governor of Faryab province. According to Moradi, the girl committed suicide due to family violence, and he added that further investigations are underway in this regard. This comes amidst a surge in suicide cases among citizens, particularly women and girls, in various parts of the country recently.

In an incident on February 1st, a young girl committed suicide after being released from Taliban captivity in the third district of Mazar-i-Sharif city, the capital of Balkh province. According to sources, this young girl was detained and imprisoned by the Taliban forces for failing to comply with the Taliban’s mandated hijab standards.
