RASC News Agency: Local Taliban officials in Samangan province have reported that a traffic incident on the Balkh-Samangan highway has resulted in the loss of three lives. According to a statement released by the Taliban security command in Samangan province, the incident occurred around 8:00 PM last night, Feb 9, in the “Tang-e Tashqorghan” area of Khulm district in the province.

The statement from the Taliban indicates that the incident occurred when a Toyota Corolla collided with an Isuzu truck, resulting in the death of three occupants of the Toyota Corolla. This comes as previous traffic incidents on various highways in the country have resulted in fatalities and injuries among citizens.

According to experts, driver recklessness, non-compliance with traffic laws, road defects, and narrow roads are among the factors contributing to traffic incidents in the country.
