RASC News Agency: In continuation of the Taliban’s violent behavior towards civilians, according to local sources from Kunduz province, a woman along with her two children was shot by a guardian of a Taliban official. Sources from Kunduz province informed the media on Thursday, Feb 8, that Mullah Naim’s guard, the Taliban’s rights director for Imam Sahib district in this province, has killed a woman along with her two children (aged one and twelve).
It has not yet been precisely determined why the Taliban official’s guard shot this woman and her children, while similar incidents have occurred before by officials of this group in several provinces. In another incident, Taliban members shot a woman in Balkh district, Balkh province, during this current week and dumped her body beside the road. With over two years of Taliban rule in the country, reports of killings of former military and non-military personnel exist, and forces of this group are accused of committing some of these killings.
A considerable number of Afghanistani citizens have left the country due to fear of the Taliban and their retaliatory actions, while many others await departure, and this group has severely suppressed its critics and opponents.
