RASC News Agency: Continuing the string of mysterious and targeted killings, according to local sources from Paktia province, a young man has been mysteriously murdered in the province. Sources stated on Wednesday, Feb 7, that the body of this young man was found yesterday after a day of disappearance from the “Chenargi” area of Samkani district.

According to sources, this 26-year-old young man was a resident of the main town of Dandpatan and was killed with a knife. The killing of this young man has also been confirmed by the Taliban, who added that investigations to identify and arrest the perpetrators of this incident have been initiated by their forces. This comes as, following the Taliban’s control over the country, the rate of criminal offenses, especially mysterious and targeted killings, abductions, and armed robberies, has increased in various parts of the country.

In the latest case, earlier, the body of a young woman was found in Balkh district, Balkh province. Some citizens assert that in most criminal cases, Taliban members are involved, and members of this group are unaccountable to any institution or individual for their violent acts.
