RASC News Agency: In recent pronouncements, the Russian Foreign Minister expounded that Afghanistan presently finds itself under the dominion of a military apparatus exclusively constituted by members of the Taliban, with no inclusion of other ethnic and religious cohorts, such as Hazaras, Tajiks, and Uzbeks. According to media reports on Thursday, January 25, it is disclosed that Sergey Lavrov persistently underscores that, within the framework of the Taliban’s structure, the concern extends beyond ethnic amalgamation to encompass both political and religious assimilation.
In the course of a press conference held at the United Nations headquarters, the Russian Foreign Minister formally proclaimed Moscow’s non-acknowledgment of the Taliban group due to their contravention of commitments, particularly in the realm of human rights, notably women’s rights, and the establishment of an all-encompassing government. Mr. Lavrov appended that he implores anti-Taliban resistance fronts to fortify a “peaceful” modus operandi, elucidating that the prevailing posture of resistance forces in northern Afghanistan signals their readiness for dialogue with the Taliban, but concerted endeavors must be made in this context.
Moreover, Mr. Lavrov appealed to those wielding influence among anti-Taliban forces to incite them toward “peaceful” negotiations. In an earlier instance, the Russian Foreign Minister acknowledged the existence of the National Resistance Front led by Ahmad Massoud in northern Afghanistan during a press conference, underscoring the imperative need to forge a communicative nexus with this faction.
