Despite the Taliban’s assumption of control over the country leading to a notable surge in suicides and family violence among citizens in various provinces, it is crucial to acknowledge that citizens are the primary victims in most cases. A recent incident serves as a stark illustration of this troubling trend, as a 35-year-old man used a hunting gun to shoot and kill his father in the face in the Nejrab district of Kapisa province.
Experts and individuals acquainted with the situation attribute this escalation in family violence to a myriad of factors, encompassing poverty, economic challenges, mental health issues, a dearth of education, and other crises pervasive in the country.
