RASC News Agency: In response to the recent apprehension of girls by the Taliban, Abdul Rab Rasool Sayyaf, a prominent political and jihadist figure in Afghanistan, has conveyed a message directed at the group. He implores them to revere God and desist from apprehending and incarcerating innocent girls. Sayyaf articulated his concerns on January 9th via the X social network, scrutinizing the Sharia justification underlying the Taliban’s actions. He questioned, “By what Sharia rationale do you justify interacting with a woman’s body when you lack her trust?”

Sayyaf’s message to the Taliban was unequivocal and forthright. He called upon them to exhibit respect for both God and the people. He censured the group for disregarding Islamic values and national traditions, contending that their actions have estranged people from their faith and eroded their love for religion. Sayyaf’s words underscore the adverse repercussions of the Taliban’s recent actions, involving the forceful apprehension and mistreatment of girls from Kabul and Ghazni provinces, subsequently relocating them to undisclosed locations.

It is noteworthy that the Taliban’s treatment of women and girls has been a source of concern throughout their governance in Afghanistan. Over the past two years, they have consistently demonstrated a readiness to enforce their demands through coercion and intimidation, particularly targeting women and girls. The recent incidents of apprehension and mistreatment have sparked widespread reactions and condemnation. Sayyaf’s message serves as a reminder to the Taliban that their actions not only violate human rights but also undermine the principles of Islam and the cultural fabric of the country.
