RASC News Agency: In the protracted narrative of the compelled expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from Pakistan, once again, Pakistani media has meticulously chronicled the removal of 1,200 Afghanistani migrants from that nation. SAMAA TV, in its report on Monday, January 1st, detailed the crossing of 1,199 individuals from Pakistan to Afghanistan, encompassing 389 men, 323 women, and 487 children. According to the received reports, these migrants constituted 92 families who had departed Pakistan using 73 vehicles and subsequently returned to Afghanistan.

This transpires at a juncture when, over the past two months, the coerced expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from neighboring countries, notably Pakistan and Iran, has witnessed an alarming escalation. According to the latest reports, a staggering 455,645 individuals from Pakistan and over 400,000 others from Iran have been subjected to coercive expulsion and compelled to return to their home country. It is noteworthy that the forced removal of Afghanistani refugees from Pakistan and Iran has garnered significant reactions from global authorities, who have persistently implored these two nations to desist from the involuntary expulsion of Afghanistani refugees.

It is imperative to highlight that in the aftermath of the Taliban’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, the migration of citizens from this nation to neighboring countries, including Iran and Pakistan, has experienced a marked upswing. Observers posit that a confluence of factors, including poverty, unemployment, extant challenges in the country, restrictions imposed on journalists and women, and persistent apprehensions of the Taliban, collectively propel the migration of citizens from Afghanistan.
