RASC News Agency: Sources from the Baghlan province report that a recent traffic incident has resulted in the death and injury of three individuals. The incident occurred on December 30th in the North Salang area of the Khenjan district. The Taliban group’s security command in Baghlan province has corroborated the information, confirming that the incident transpired when a Corolla-type car deviated from the road and overturned. The driver succumbed to the accident, while two others sustained injuries. The victims have been identified as the driver and passengers of the vehicle.

Despite concerted efforts to address this issue, traffic incidents persist, claiming numerous lives and inflicting injuries and disabilities across various provinces in the country. Recent statistical data underscores a notable surge in the frequency of traffic incidents in diverse regions.

Experts attribute these incidents to multifaceted factors, encompassing road deterioration, lack of standards, driver negligence, non-compliance with driving regulations, and unwarranted speeding. Moreover, the protracted conflict between the erstwhile government’s military and the Taliban group, coupled with a dearth of focus on infrastructure development, particularly roads and highways, contributes significantly to these unfortunate occurrences.

Addressing the burgeoning problem of traffic accidents necessitates proactive measures. This involves fostering a heightened awareness of road safety, executing traffic regulations with utmost precision, elevating the caliber of road infrastructure, and ensuring unwavering adherence to construction standards. Through collaborative efforts, we can endeavor to minimize the frequency of such lamentable incidents and safeguard the lives of our community members.
