RASC News Agency: In Nimroz province, an incident unfolded involving the rape and murder of a 10-year-old girl in Zaranj city, the provincial center. Sources indicate that on January 5th, the young girl fell victim to rape, followed by strangulation using a wire. While local Taliban officials in Nimroz province have not officially addressed this event, a source from the Taliban’s security command in the province has confirmed the girl’s death after the assault.

In connection with this case, the Taliban in Nimroz province has detained one individual. This arrest occurs amid a series of similar cases where children have faced rape and murder. The escalating criminal activities, encompassing targeted killings, armed robberies, and kidnappings, are causing growing concern in various provinces across the country. Many citizens posit that the Taliban group and its members are implicated in these criminal acts, with some suggesting direct involvement or tacit support.

Since the Taliban assumed control of the country, there has been a marked deterioration in security. Instead of ensuring safety and protection for citizens, instances have arisen where the group’s members have instilled fear and terror among the population under various pretexts. This alarming trend has significantly contributed to the surge in criminal offenses nationwide. Authorities must take immediate and resolute action to address these issues and guarantee the safety and well-being of the people.
