RASC News Agency: Amidst the Taliban’s ongoing effort to reclaim lands seized by the state, their Ministry of Justice recently declared the reclamation of 1.5 million acres over the past 15 months across diverse provinces in the country. As communicated in a statement released by the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice on Monday, December 25, these reclaimed lands align with the initiation of the “Commission for Prevention of Seizure and Reclamation of Usurped Lands.” The announcement specifies that this initiative has been operational since its inception.

The statement underscores that Mullah Ehsanullah Wasiq, the Secretary of the Commission, raised this matter during their visit to Parwan province, noting that an additional close to 400,000 acres fall within the purview of the Taliban’s Commission for Prevention of Seizure and Reclamation. Available information indicates that a delegation led by Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mullah Abdul Hakim Sharaee, the acting Minister of Justice and head of the Commission, had previously visited Parwan province to assess the activities of this Taliban commission.

It is pertinent to note that the Commission for Prevention of Seizure and Reclamation of Usurped Lands by the Taliban was established a year ago, featuring representatives from the ministries of agriculture, urban development, and lands, along with the foreign ministry, the Ministry of Justice, and the Supreme Court of this group. However, it is crucial to emphasize that this news surfaces at a juncture when citizens in various provinces allege that members of this Taliban commission have arbitrarily announced the seizure of lands, particularly belonging to non-Pashtun individuals.

According to available information, since assuming control, the Taliban group has leveraged diverse pretexts to suppress non-Pashtun ethnicities and, in numerous instances, overlooked their rights.
