RASC News Agency: Australia has recently proclaimed its dedication to providing $20 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, as stated in a communique released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This aid aims to bolster the Afghanistani people, particularly those displaced and seeking refuge in neighboring countries. It is noteworthy that Australia, alongside other nations and international organizations, has previously contributed to humanitarian endeavors in Afghanistan. Notably, the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) recently contributed over $100 million to support the education of Afghanistani children.
However, it is crucial to underscore that this Australian aid emerges amid the forced deportations of Afghanistani refugees from neighboring countries, notably Pakistan and Iran. Reports indicate a daily deportation of hundreds of Afghanistani refugees, causing significant apprehension among international organizations. Despite persistent appeals, the Pakistani government persists in deporting up to a thousand Afghanistani refugees, repatriating them to their homeland.
In a recent development, the Canadian government declared an allotment of $21 million to aid vulnerable Afghanistani refugees in Pakistan and Central Asian countries. This financial support will be routed through the International Organization for Migration. The Canadian government’s commitment to assisting Afghanistani refugees sharply contrasts with the ongoing deportations executed by Pakistan. The global community continues to implore Pakistan to cease these compelled deportations and ensure the safety and well-being of Afghanistani refugees.
