RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front recently announced that its forces, persisting in their assaults on Taliban strongholds, recently targeted a Taliban outpost in the initial security district of Samangan province. As per a press release from the Afghanistan Freedom Front, this operation transpired on Tuesday evening, December 12th, in Aibak city, the central nexus of Samangan province, resulting in the demise of three Taliban members and the injury of two others.
Nevertheless, inhabitants of Aibak, the provincial capital of Samangan, reported that the Afghanistan Freedom Front forces executed this operation using the launch of a “hand grenade.” According to them, this maneuver inflicted “no harm” on Taliban members. As of now, the Taliban has refrained from commenting on these allegations in Samangan province. This development unfolds during a period marked by a significant upswing in military offensives from opposing factions, notably the Afghanistan Freedom Front, directed at Taliban bases and personnel across various provinces of the country.
Concerning a prior incident on,December 6th, the forces of this front also targeted the Taliban’s provincial office in Panjshir province, a move corroborated by the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, although they asserted that the attack resulted in no casualties. It is worth noting that concurrently with the escalation in covert operations and regional assemblies of Taliban opposition figures, Mohammad Yaqub, the Defense Minister of the Taliban, has issued warnings to adversaries of this group.
Furthermore, Ahmad Massoud, the leader of one of the anti-Taliban fronts, had previously indicated that hosting opposition meetings is eliciting concern among the Taliban.
