RASC News Agency: Thomas West, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs, recently announced his upcoming diplomatic mission to several countries, including Pakistan, to engage in comprehensive discussions on Afghanistan affairs. West took to social media on the night of Tuesday, December 5th, to elucidate the purpose of his visit, which aims to meet with key partners of the United States and address multifaceted issues, encompassing political, security, economic, and humanitarian concerns related to Afghanistan.

In addition to Pakistan, West specified that he will visit countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. He conveyed his anticipation for these meetings, underscoring the significance of deliberating on shared security interests, refugee protection and resettlement, humanitarian needs, human rights, and economic considerations.

It is noteworthy that, despite reports of an American delegation, including Julieta Valls Noyes, the country’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Refugee Affairs, engaging in discussions with Pakistani officials concerning Afghanistani refugees, Thomas West is proceeding with his trip to various countries. This occurs amidst intensified forced deportations of Afghanistani refugees by neighboring countries and the region, leading to thousands of refugees being repatriated to Afghanistan daily.

It is crucial to emphasize that Afghanistan, under the control of the Taliban group, lacks the capacity to accommodate these deported immigrants. Consequently, Taliban officials have repeatedly appealed to the people and countries in the region for cooperation and assistance in managing the influx of deported immigrants.
