RASC News Agency: In response to escalating concerns over the security situation in Afghanistan under the dominance of the Taliban group, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs has recently urged its citizens to refrain from traveling to this country due to security issues. According to a statement released by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday, December 4th, the ministry has warned Australian citizens, including those in the city of Kabul, about the pervasive and enduring terrorist threats across the entire country.
The statement underscores that Australia has no diplomatic representation in Afghanistan, emphasizing the limited capacity to provide consular services and passports. It further articulates that Australian citizens in Afghanistan are at a serious risk of abduction and detention. Meanwhile, prior to this, countries such as Germany and Britain had also advised their citizens against traveling to Afghanistan due to security problems and the surge in criminal activities. Britain specifically mentioned the possibility of its citizens being targeted in religious and public places.
It’s worth noting that, to date, the Taliban group has not commented on the statement by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs. However, in response to statements from the British government, they rejected the claims. Nevertheless, it is crucial to mention that, while the Taliban has rejected the statements from the British government, daily reports of increased criminal activities, especially mysterious and targeted killings in various provinces of the country, persist under the group’s dominance in Afghanistan.
