RASC News Agency: Reports from local sources in Bamyan have revealed that Mullah Ziauddin Bigzad, the head of physical education for the Taliban group in Bamyan, has been accused of raping a woman in the province. It has been reported that Mr. Bigzad was released from prison after paying a guarantee. According to sources, Mr. Bigzad was arrested on November 9th by the intelligence forces of the group when he was caught raping a woman in his office. After spending three days in prison, he was released on November 12th after paying a guarantee.

Despite the fact that the Taliban’s Officers of Virtue and Prevention of Vice have always prohibited immoral behavior throughout the country and have asked people to live according to Islamic rules, reports of arrest, torture, and beatings of young people by the group for engaging in immoral activities consistently reach the media.
It is worth noting that the Taliban group remains silent when it comes to individuals belonging to their own group, despite the fact that they continue to torture the country’s youth daily for engaging in immoral activities.

The occurrence of rape cases involving Taliban officials and members across the country is not unprecedented. Media outlets have consistently reported on instances of group rape and illicit relationships involving this group. However, despite the extensive coverage, the judicial court and responsible departments have failed to take appropriate action and impose sentences on the perpetrators. The lack of accountability for these crimes sends a negative message to both the perpetrators and the victims.
