RASC News Agency:Recent reports from Pakistani media have stated that a staggering 6,584 Afghanistani refugees were forcibly expelled from Pakistan within the last 24 hours. This development highlights the Pakistani government’s ongoing efforts to apprehend and deport Afghanistani immigrants lacking proper residency papers.
The majority of these expulsions are being carried out at border crossings with Afghanistan, leading to the establishment of temporary transit camps across various regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. These camps aim to accommodate the influx of refugees resulting from this massive deportation operation.
Pakistan’s government has taken a decisive stance by launching a nationwide search operation to identify, detain, and ultimately expel undocumented Afghanistani immigrants. The current statistics reveal a staggering figure of over 4 million Afghanistani immigrants residing in Pakistan, with a staggering 1.7 million individuals lacking proper residence documentation. Only a mere two days ago, an additional 7,135 Afghanistani migrants were forcefully deported, crossing into Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing.
Responding to these distressing events, the Ministry of Refugees and Returnees of the Taliban group has reported that more than 120,000 Afghanistani refugees are now stranded at border points, all victims of forceful expulsion from Pakistan.
