RASC News Agency: In a recent announcement, the World Health Organization expressed deep concern over the alarming condition of the earthquake victims in Herat Province. The catastrophic earthquake, which occurred on October 7th with a magnitude of 6.3, resulted in the deaths and injuries of thousands of people, as well as widespread destruction in the province.
The organization’s report highlights the increasing health risks faced by the victims, including infectious and contagious diseases, mental health and psychosocial issues, and the potential for physical and sexual violence. This concern is particularly significant as Afghanistan approaches the cold winter season. Without proper living facilities, the victims may encounter even more serious challenges.

The report published by the World Health Organization sheds light on the dire circumstances faced by the earthquake victims in Herat province. Many individuals continue to endure poor health conditions and lack access to basic life necessities. The organization emphasizes the urgent need for humanitarian aid and living facilities to be provided to these individuals as they are at risk of facing further health complications.
It is worth noting that several countries have already pledged their support and announced humanitarian aid for the victims. However, there have been claims that some of the aid distributed by the Taliban may have reached individuals who were not entitled to it.

The World Health Organization’s report serves as a reminder of the devastating impact of the earthquake in Herat province. The aftermath of the earthquake has left countless individuals in dire circumstances, with limited access to essential resources.
The organization’s concern is particularly heightened as the winter season approaches. Without proper living facilities, the victims will face even greater challenges.
