RASC News Agency: In response to the escalating expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from neighboring countries, especially Pakistan, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Taliban group has recently announced the return of over 12,000 migrants to Afghanistan from Pakistan and Iran.
According to this ministry, 1,358 families, comprising a total of 7,881 individuals, returned to the country Sunday, October 28th, through the Torkham border crossing.
These returning families have received assistance amounting to 10,500 kabuli rupees, the local currency in Afghanistan, from the International Organization for Migration, as stated by the ministry.
In another newsletter from the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Taliban group, it is mentioned that 300 families, consisting of 1,876 individuals, have entered the country through the Spin Boldak border crossing.
Furthermore, the ministry also stated that 2,695 migrants forcibly and voluntarily returned from Iran to Afghanistan through the Islam Qala border crossing.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani government has given illegal Afghanistani refugees until the 1st of November of this year, which is only one day away, to leave the country voluntarily, otherwise they will be forcibly expelled.
It is also worth mentioning that Iran continues to carry out the expulsion of Afghanistani refugees.
This decision by Pakistan has sparked widespread reactions across the world, with the latest being Malala Yousafzai addressing Pakistan and urging them not to expel refugees in need of safety and protection from their country.
It should be noted that after the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, a significant number of youth, journalists, and former military personnel from the country have left for European countries and migrated to neighboring countries.
